Welcome to

D. hour I can Therapy

I'm here to help you.

Welcome! I'm Damian Hourican, MBACP-registered therapist offering therapy sessions online and in-person in Wimbledon and surrounding areas of South West London (SW19).

Therapies in a safe, comfortable and private setting

Starting therapy can feel daunting. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unsure where to begin. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be heard, at your own pace.

Is therapy right for you?

You might be considering therapy if you are experiencing:

  • Anxiety, panic or constant worry
  • Low mood or depression
  • Trauma or distressing past experiences
  • Difficulties in relationships
  • Low self esteem or confidence
  • Feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected
  • Struggling with loss, change or life transitions

How therapy can help.

Therapy offers a space to slow things down and make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Working together, we can explore what may be contributing to your difficulties and find ways of bringing about change that feel right for you.

Through therapy, you may begin to:

  • Gain clarity and self-understanding
  • Develop healthier ways of managing difficult emotions
  • Process painful or traumatic experiences
  • Improve relationships including the one you have with yourself
  • Feel more grounded confident and resilient

There is no pressure to talk about anything until you're ready. We work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

I draw from a range of Therapeutic approaches including:

  • Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT) - exploring how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours interact, and identifying changes that can reduce distress
  • EMDR - a structured approach particularly helpful for trauma and distressing memories
  • Hypnotherapy - accessing subconscious drives to make positive change
  • Therapeutic Counselling - will allow you to feel comfortable as you begin to understand yourself better, nurture self compassion, and work through the reasons you have come to counselling.

I have completed over six years of committed training and supervised clinical practice to qualify as a therapist. This included in-depth theoretical study alongside extensive client work, including a clinical placement within the NHS, which helped shape a thoughtful, safe, and professional approach to therapy. I am a BACP-registered counsellor and work in line with professional standards. I work integratively, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and hypnotherapy, tailoring my work to meet each client’s individual needs. Ongoing training and regular clinical supervision remain an essential part of my practice.

Speak in Confidence

As a therapist, I offer a private space for you to talk, whilst helping you explore thoughts, emotions, events, past experiences, and behaviours. I work with many different client types. You can arrange a free telephone consultation where I can introduce myself and you can see I am the right fit for you. You can also take this opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Your Path Forward

You have the lived experience of your own set of unique life events, whilst I have the therapeutic knowledge to bring about deeper awareness, introduce you to internal systems, identify coping mechanisms, explore why emotions are present and what they mean, and to help you process what's happening on many different levels. We will move forward at your pace.
